Harley Street Legal (“we”, “us”) is the trading name of Professor Sandip Hindocha, Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive & Hand Surgeon and National Lead Forensic Medical Examiner. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data submitted through this website.

When you submit an enquiry via our contact form we collect: your name, email address, law firm or company name, telephone number (optional), instruction type, and a brief summary of the matter. We do not collect any data automatically beyond standard server logs.

We use your information solely to: respond to your enquiry; assess whether we can accept your instruction; and manage the ongoing medicolegal instruction if one is established. We do not use your data for marketing and we do not sell it to third parties.

4. Legal Basis

Processing is carried out on the basis of legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — specifically, responding to professional enquiries and managing legal instructions — and, where an instruction is accepted, on the basis of contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)).

5. Data Retention

Enquiry data is retained for 12 months if no instruction is accepted. Where an instruction is accepted, records are retained for 7 years in compliance with professional and regulatory obligations, after which they are securely deleted.

6. Data Sharing

Your data is not shared with third parties except where required to deliver the instruction (for example, secure document transfer to instructing solicitors) or where required by law or court order. Our website is hosted by WP Engine (United States); data is processed under standard contractual clauses compliant with UK adequacy requirements.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your personal data; request rectification or erasure; restrict or object to processing; and data portability.
